Amit joined HarperCollins India in September 2010 as general manager of finance and commercial. He is currently the chief financial officer and operations head of the company, responsible for accounting, credit control, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, strategic management, legal matters, distribution, and all day-to-day operations. He was appointed to this position in 2013.

Amit has been a qualified chartered accountant since 1994 and started his career in the financial services industry. He has been in publishing since 1999 and worked at SAGE, Penguin, Parragon, and Hachette before joining HarperCollins.
