Agricultural production

Agriculture includes forestry, hunting, and fishing, as well as cultivation of crops and livestock production. Its net output is the value after adding up all outputs and subtracting intermediate inputs. The development of agriculture depends on climate, cultures and technologies to expand or maintain its output.

Agricultural practices such as irrigation, crop rotation, fertilizers, and pesticides were developed long ago and constantly need to be reviewed and adapted to changes in climate and soil structure. Modern techniques have sharply increased yields from cultivation, but at the same time have caused widespread ecological damage.
